Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least the minimum age required by applicable law in your EEA member state to use NatureHub. You confirm that you are capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you are using NatureHub on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. User accounts and safety

To access certain features you may create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity on your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or restrict accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users or to protected environments.

3. Content you provide

You retain ownership of content you post. By publishing content on NatureHub you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, distribute and display that content to provide the service. Do not post material that violates privacy, reveals sensitive habitat locations, or infringes third-party rights. We provide privacy controls to help protect sensitive information about wildlife and locations.

4. Prohibited activities

• Posting illegal content or content that promotes harm to people or protected habitats
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or private data
• Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory behaviour
• Scraping, bulk downloading, or bypassing our security measures

We may remove prohibited content and take enforcement actions against repeat offenders, including termination of accounts.

5. Intellectual property

All platform content, design, and code are our intellectual property or used under licence. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our platform except as expressly permitted. Respect the IP rights of other users when sharing content.

6. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the service for violations of these Terms, for legal reasons, or to protect the platform and its community. Termination will not affect accrued rights or obligations.

7. Disclaimers and liability

NatureHub provides the platform as a community service for sharing information about nature. While we strive to ensure accuracy and reliable operation, we do not guarantee that content posted by users is accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NatureHub is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our aggregate liability for direct losses is limited to an amount equal to fees paid by you in the prior 12 months, if any.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Economic Area. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms will be resolved under those laws in the applicable forums. We encourage resolving issues informally first; please contact [email protected] for help.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect product changes or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes through the platform or email. Continued use of NatureHub after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
