When you upload a route you receive clear options to redact precise GPS coordinates for public posts, publish general guidance or share full details with trusted groups. This balances the value of shared local knowledge against the need to protect fragile habitats and wildlife. Routes are versioned so you can update notes as conditions change, and offline-friendly exports are available for personal use. We host maps on secure infrastructure within the EEA, and location data is processed only for delivering the mapping features and for safety notifications when you opt in.
