NatureHub

Services designed for conscious explorers

NatureHub brings together trail mapping, wildlife-friendly sharing controls, conservation project pages, and community tools. Every service is built with privacy defaults and clear consent flows so you can discover, document and protect natural places while keeping sensitive details private when appropriate.

Trail mapping & route sharing

Our trail mapping service helps outdoor enthusiasts record routes, add difficulty notes, and share tips with others while keeping safety front of mind. When you upload a route you receive clear options to redact precise GPS coordinates for public posts, publish general guidance or share full details with trusted groups. This balances the value of shared local knowledge against the need to protect fragile habitats and wildlife. Routes are versioned so you can update notes as conditions change, and offline-friendly exports are available for personal use. We host maps on secure infrastructure within the EEA, and location data is processed only for delivering the mapping features and for safety notifications when you opt in.

Wildlife-safe sharing

We provide privacy-preserving defaults for wildlife photography and sightings. Sensitive species may trigger automatic location blurring and community moderation flags so that rare or vulnerable animals are not exposed to risk. You can choose who sees full details, and you can post educational context to help protect species. These safeguards reflect our commitment to conservation and to complying with EEA data protection expectations.

Community projects & conservation pages

NatureHub supports project pages for community conservation initiatives. Project leads can gather volunteers, post updates, manage events, and collect non-sensitive contributions. Membership and communication preferences are explicit and opt-in; project data is handled under clear processing terms. We encourage transparency and provide mechanisms to withdraw consent and export project data at any time.

How NatureHub protects your data

We operate under EEA data protection standards and apply privacy by design across every feature. Personal data is minimised: we only collect what is necessary to provide a service, and we provide easy controls to review, download, and delete your information. Technical safeguards include encrypted connections, access controls, and audited processors. When sharing content, you choose visibility and can keep exact locations private. For cross-border data transfers, we use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or rely on adequacy decisions. If you have questions about our practices or need assistance exercising your rights, contact [email protected] and our data protection team will assist you promptly.
